Haiku
Curls
Curls hang tightly wound
Wringing moisture without sound
Dried, they bounce unbound
Hunter/Prey
Talons flexed to hunt
Descend, muted upon prey
To fill emptiness

Still as death with fear
Unmov’d and self-destructive
Soon not of this earth
Currents
Currents fresh and crisp
Light forced through a grey blanket
Land and sea sparkle
Life
Life sprouting on limbs
While death shrivels adjacent
Unending circle
Clouds
Clouds obscure the earth
Unhooked from their tether
Shadows in the fog
